Job Title: Psych Tech Company: Acadia Hospital Location: Bangor, ME Description: Psych Tech Adult Unit - 2N Regular Full-time 2:30p - 11:p 5 days per week with EOW Evening High School/GED The Psychiatric Technician is a non-clinical team member who assists with patient care for the personal needs and comfort and helps maintain an age appropriate therapeutic environment. Will work under the supervision of a nurse and will be a part of a team that includes nurses, doctors, and clinicians. Supports the standards and policies of Acadia Hospital and the philosophy of the nursing department. Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent with good communication skills. It istwo -12 hour shifts every weekend -7a - 7p everySaturday and Sunday Thepsych tech will be expected to float to all inpatient units and the Observation Unit. Psych experience is preferred but is not required.
