Under supervision, the incumbent will administer and score neuropsychological, psychiatric, and functional tests, questionnaires, and interviews for a study of schizophrenia. The incumbent will be required to adhere to existing assessment procedures and standardized protocols, eliciting optimal participant performance, generating written behavioral notes regarding participant effort and test validity, and preparing charts for clinical ratings and diagnoses. Incumbent will also be responsible for data quality assurance procedures, including data cleaning, double scoring, and providing oral and written feedback as necessary. Job Title: Psychometrist - Neurology Clinic Company: Vanderbilt University Location: Nashville, TN Description: Administers psychological tests to psychiatric patients; score, record, and interpret test results; administer all activities of testing service. Individuals in this classification must meet all stated requirements of the State of Tennessee to become eligible for certification as Psychological Assistant. Conduct neuropsychometric assessments of general neurology patients with particular emphasis given to epilepsy, neuro-oncology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, memory disorders, and neurovascular patients. Job duties will consist of test administration and scoring using neuropsychological and personality assessment tools, archival and data entry responsibilities, patient follow-up, and medical documentation. The psychometrist will be supervised by 2 Ph.D. level neuropsychologist's. Basic Requirements: This position requires a Masters Degree. Psychology degree strongly preferred. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to make clinically-relevant behavioral observations during testing.
