Psychometrist
This position is supporting the Tele-Healthcare/TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Program.
Job Description:
? Primary area of work is in Telehealth working directly with the neuropsychologists and/or other designated providers and/or staff.
? When not in direct Telehealth care, can be utilized by on-site psychologists or designated personnel.
? Administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests using standard procedures.
? Scores tests administered, including objective personality tests administered by psychologist.
? Recommends and implements modifications to standard procedures for individual patients.
? Provides a written summary of the patient's behavior during testing, including any interactions with the patient's parents or peers that may be observed incidentally.
? Writes progress notes in the medical record to keep hospital personnel informed of the status of referrals.
? Conducts psychological testing on beneficiaries including active duty service members who have been diagnosed with mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI), family members and retired service members. Includes provision of services to service members with deployment related illnesses and injuries including those who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF) and other combat areas.
? Appropriately manages patients manifesting behavioral or emotional disturbances and communicates and consults with supervising licensed psychologists, attending psychiatrists and nursing staff.
? Responsible for maintaining rapport with patients and adjusts the level and manner of interaction to promote optimal effort and test validity.
? Participates in establishing job requirements and goals; performs duties at desired level of competency.
? Assignments involve the initial screening of outpatients and inpatients with moderate-severe mental disorders for suitability for testing.
? Understands, adheres to and models core standards as defined organizationally and specifically within the department/unit.
? Review and ensures timeliness, accuracy, availability and security of information.
? Complies with infection control and health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
? Since this is a government contract, one of the following requirements must be met: You must be a US citizen, a naturalized citizen, or born abroad to US citizen(s).
? Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field from a regionally accredited college or university and/or CSP (Certificate Specialist in Psychometry).
? At least 3 years experience of testing, scoring and associated administrative experience earned under the supervision of licensed psychologist or neuropsychologist or equivalent.

Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years
