Exempla Lutheran Medical Center& Leading by Example. UNIT DESCRIPTION: The is a 20-bed intensive residential treatment program. Patients are admitted for a minimum of two weeks. The treatment program combines traditional addiction interventions with more wholistic approaches, such as accupuncture and physical fitness. The program caters to patients who have a chemical dependency or a dual diagnosis. All residents come on a voluntary basis. JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides consistent and direct comprehensive care to the recovery residents in a therapeutic and counseling capacity. Provides individual, group and family therapy. Assists with some case management for residents. Reports to the Recovery Center Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in mental health field. Or Bachelors degree in mental health field with CAC III land 5 years relevant experience Graduate work including field placement within the mental health and/or recovery field. Two years experience in chemical dependency clinical care and case management. Certification in addictions counseling or experience with addictions counseling. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in mental health field. Graduate work including field placement within the mental health field and recovery preferred. Two years experience in a clinical care and case management preferred. One year in-patient or residential adult psychiatric or recovery experience required. Certified Addictions Counselor (CACIII) License in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, addiction counseling or psychology. Job Title: Addiction Therapist Company: Location: Model, CO Description: DUTIES: This position is located at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) Research Service at the Palo Alto Division. The incumbent will participate and provide clinical care within Research and quality of care improvement efforts for one local Hepatitis C clinic, and will be supervised by the site co-investigator. He/she will function as the Addiction Therapist to veterans with chronic hepatitis C in the integrated care model. The co-located Addiction Therapist provides interventions and therapy for substance use disorders (SUDs) and other psychological disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, etc. The incumbent also facilitates a complete treatment evaluation, and encourages the initiation of antiviral treatment using a case management approach. He/she coordinates care with the HCV clinic team including a Psychiatrist, HCV Physician, and nursing staff.
