The agency is currently seeking a DIVISION DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH to join our senior leadership team. The division director is responsible for the overall administration and operations of the Behavioral Health division of Citizen Advocates, Inc. including integrated (mental health/substance abuse treatment/primary care) clinics, satellites and related programs, school and community prevention, peer support services, community services, care coordination and case management services, and residential and housing programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Working in conjunction with the agency’s executive team, the BHS Division Director guides the overall vision and direction for the Behavioral Health division. This position is accountable for quality outcomes, customer service, patient experience, patient engagement, clinical, programmatic, billing/reimbursement, staffing, certification, staff development, budgeting, community networking, affiliations, strategic initiatives and special projects. The Division Director oversees more than 56 different cost centers and approximately 200 staff. The position manages the agency’s current ‘legacy’ service offerings as well as new developments, including the federal CCBHC pilot, the Behavioral Health Care Collaborative, the InShape program and the agency’s state-of-the-art ‘Crisis and Recovery Center’.
QUALIFICATIONS: Currently seeking candidates with a post-graduate degree in healthcare business; however, those who can demonstrate prior successes in the healthcare administration arena will be considered regardless of their education. Must have prior administrative, management, financial and data-driven decision-making experience. Successful candidates will be required to demonstrate their understanding of the current healthcare landscape in New York State, including concepts related to value-based reimbursement, systems integration and the various managed care initiatives afloat throughout the state. Preference will be given to those who clearly articulate their commitment to staff development, inclusion and collaborative community partnerships. Knowledge of NYS OMH, DOH, OASAS, OPWDD regulations and programs required.
