SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST- CENTERBURG LOCAL SCHOOLSREPORTS TO: Director of Special EducationTRAINING QUALIFICATIONS - Master and/or Education Specialists Degree in School Psychology -Certified by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce with School Psychologist License - Suchalternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptableJOB GOAL- To collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportivelearning environments that strengthen the connection between home, school, and the community for allstudentsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides the intensive psycho-educational evaluation and assessment of individual children identifiedas or thought to be a student with a disability-Contributes to the written report of the evaluation team, delineating the results of the psycho-educationalevaluation and assessment for consideration in the development of the individualized education programfor each student with a disability evaluated- Contributes, as a part of a multidisciplinary team, a multi-factored evaluation utilizing diagnosticinstruments and techniques appropriate for the area of disability or suspected disability- Consults with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel on matters relating to the educationand/or social, emotional or behavioral well being of students to ensure the provisions of the mostappropriate education program- Communication Skills: Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret information relevant to the position,including being able to speak effectively to small and large groups of people, and to communicate clearlyand concisely both orally and in writing- Technology Skills: Able to effectively use, as it applies to your specific job function, typical officeapplications and computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations; mustbe able to use email- Serves as a consultant to the schools in the development of educational evaluation and accountabilityprocedures, pupil and personnel policies, in-service activities, curriculum, and staff development- Remains professionally aware of current trends and movements as they relate to psychologicalservices- Assists in the gathering of data for any state reports as they relate to psychological services- Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with other staff members, principals,superintendents, and instructional staff- Serves on staff committees as requested within reason- Cooperates with other members of the staff in planning goals, objectives, and methods; and strives toachieve productive change- Works with staff/teachers to coordinate MTSS meetings, analyzing data, universal screening data andprogress monitoring data (MTSS), staff consultation, and identifying students who may require additionaleducational support and intervention services- Performs other duties as defined by the superintendent or designee194 Day ContractInterested Candidates should send a cover letter and resume to Stephanie Pound ... by 5/2/25
