An adult inpatient psychiatry position is available starting mid-September, offering a MondayFriday schedule with 8-hour days and shared night call. The role includes managing consults, new admissions, discharges, and emergencies across two units totaling 37 beds, typically with a census of 30+ patients. The provider will round on 1518 patients daily, with admissions and discharges varying depending on bed availability. While theres no cap on admissions or consults, the average is 57 admissions and 45 discharges daily. A dedicated consult service handles approximately 3 new consults per day, and H&Ps are completed by the family practice team. The unit is currently staffed by 2 physicians and 23 residents, with no APPs.
