Clinical Psychologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Atlanta, Georgia

A large inpatient facility needs coverage due to their current provider retiring. Credentialing takes about 2-3 weeks, and an active GA license is needed. The facility uses EMR.

A psychologist is needed to work with adult and geriatric patients, providing support for individuals with serious mental illness, dementia, and other neurocognitive disorders. The role is part-time, 10-29 hours per week, typically 2-3 days per week. Patients may have a history of forensic involvement, inpatient hospitalizations, and complex behavioral or mood disorders. The psychologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide behavioral interventions, team-based care, and supportive rounding. Experience with behavioral interventions, positive behavior support, applied behavior analysis, and developing and monitoring Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) is preferred. This role primarily supports residents in a secure unit with complex mental health and behavioral needs.
