As a Dining Services Director here, youll play a vital role in creating experiences that delight residents and guestswhether its a morning coffee in the bistro, a celebratory event overlooking the Sound, or a healthy, thoughtfully prepared meal that brings comfort and joy. Youll lead a team that values service, pride in craft, and genuine relationships, all in a supportive environment that encourages innovation and personal growth.
Youll lead the daily operations of our dining rooms and bistro, ensuring exceptional service for residents and guests. More than that, youll foster a culture of hospitality, mentor your team, and bring innovation to everything from special events to seasonal menus. Your work will help create a dining experience that feels personal, consistent, and full of heart.
In this position you will do the following:
Oversee all dining operations, including our dining rooms and bistro, ensuring exceptional service and a welcoming environment.
Lead planning and execution of catering and special events that delight residents and their guests.
Hire, train, and develop a service-oriented team focused on quality, hospitality, and warmth.
Create thoughtful schedules that support team success while staying within budget.
Mentor and coach team members through daily pre-shift meetings, hands-on training, and ongoing education on food, ingredients, and service standards.
Set and maintain high standards for service presentation, portioning, and guest interaction.
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Registered Dietitian to develop well-balanced, resident-centered menus.
Monitor and manage food and labor costs, aligning performance with financial goals.
Ensure compliance with all public health, safety, and sanitation regulationsand serve as the community's point person during inspections.
Respond promptly and empathetically to resident feedback and concerns, always seeking to elevate the experience.
Maintain a robust quality assurance program and ensure your team is aligned with safety protocols, grooming standards, and equipment procedures.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
4+ years of leadership experience in dining or hospitality, including at least 2 years managing front-of-house operations in restaurants, hotels, or similar venues.
Experience opening new dining venues or leading transitions is a big plus.
A degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management is preferredor an equivalent blend of education and experience.
Deep knowledge of food service operations, service styles, and industry best practices.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietary Services Supervisor (DSS) credentials preferred.
A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Compensation : $90,000-135,000 depending on experience + performance-based incentive
