Job Description


Novant Health is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative IAM Analyst I to join our Enterprise Technology Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the secure management of enterprise information systems and play a key role in identity and access governance.

Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM (On call support required, as needed).

Location: Remote

Department: ETS – Enterprise Technology Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Support identity lifecycle management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, entitlements, and role-based access controls.
  • Maintain and manage identity-related data intake from authoritative sources.
  • Ensure a seamless end-user experience through self-service portals and identity tools.
  • Assess and resolve access issues to minimize business impact and risk exposure.
  • Participate in security incident investigations and collaborate with process partners.
  • Contribute to internal and external audit reviews and recommend process improvements.
  • Stay current with trends and changes in identity and access management (IAM).
  • Review and enhance security controls to reduce risk and improve compliance.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to IAM platforms and technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity incident response.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year related experience, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Basic knowledge of authenticator types, authenticator assurance levels, identity life cycle processes including, but not limited to, account management, identifier management, role-based access management, attribute-based access management, attestation and certification, user self-service, password management. Basic knowledge of MS Active Directory’s domain structure schema, user and group object attributes. Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements, included but not limited to, PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, etc. Basic knowledge of and ability to work with one of the following query/scripting languages, Structured Query Language (SQL), Windows PowerShell, Extensible Markup Language (XML), Excel functions and formulas.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): Functional knowledge of COBIT and NIST standards and other regulations that govern Information Security for a Health Care organization.
