Compensation: $225/hr | $337/hr Holiday | $1,763/24-Hour Call Malpractice Included | Travel & Lodging Covered

Location: Muskegon, Michigan Position Type: Locum Tenens | Inpatient Psychiatry

• Weekday Coverage: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p

• Call Coverage: 5p–8a (unrestricted call if able)

• Coverage Needed: August 26 – September 19

• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Department

• Average Census: ~12 patients per day

• Total Beds: 27

• Team Structure:

  • 5 Psychiatrists

  • 6 Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs)

  • 0 Psychologists

• Supervision: Required to supervise a Psychiatric NP

• Referral Sources: Primarily from Muskegon and Grand Rapids EDs

• Safety Measures: Staff duress system, 24/7 onsite security

• Patient Population: Adults only (no pediatrics)

• EMR: Epic

• Credentialing: ~3 months (but urgent coverage needed ASAP)

• Disorders Treated:

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Affective Disorders

  • ADD/ADHD

  • Personality Disorders

  • Eating Disorders

  • Developmental Disorders

  • Psychotic Disorders

  • Organic Disorders

• Familiarity Required With:

  • Involuntary Commitments

• Hourly: $225.00

• Holiday Hourly: $337.00

• Overtime: $337.00

• Holiday Overtime (Hourly): $506.00

• Holiday Night Call: $545.00

• 24 Hour On Call: $1,763.00

• Holiday 24 Hour On Call: $2,644.00

• Board Certified in Psychiatry – Required

• Active Michigan Medical License – Required

• BLS Certification – Required

• Availability: Must cover Mon–Fri for full coverage dates (8/26–9/19) – Required, no exceptions
