Job Description
Helping Hand is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our School Services team. In this role, you'll work closely with students to build academic, social, and daily living skills, implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, and support behavioral and educational goals in collaboration with teachers and BCBAs.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:
- On-site position, Monday-Friday.
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary range $22.50-$24.00/hour (non-exempt)
- Salary based on skills and experience.
- Up to 8% annual bonus potential.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students in classroom and school settings.
- Implement ABA interventions, behavior strategies, and teaching plans outlined in IEPs and behavior plans.
- Collect and communicate student progress data with the interdisciplinary team and caregivers.
- Respond to behavioral spport needs across classrooms with flexibility and professionalism.
- Assist BCBAs with behavior assessments, data collection, and plan implementation.
- Support training for classroom staff and families on ABA strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for behavioral interventions and student progress.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment aligned with agency values.
- Attend all required school and agency meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active RBT certification with BACB (must maintain re-certification and follow RBT Code of Ethics).
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children and young adults, especially with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, or developmental delays.
Skill Sets:
- Strong problem-solving, time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and Zoom.
- Ability to promote and adhere to company values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about to assist students, access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to observe details at a close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Consistently position self to maintain files in file cabinets or assist students.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in all situations.
- Occasional movement of students by wheelchair or other mechanical devices.
- The person in this position may encounter students exhibiting physical aggression; must be comfortable working in periods of crisis and feel comfortable de-escalating individually or as a team.
