The Board Certified Behavior Analyst designs, implements, and oversees individualized ABA programs for assigned clients. The BCBA conducts functional behavior assessments, develops behavior intervention plans, supervises RBTs and BCaBAs, and ensures clinical and billing documentation integrity across all assigned cases.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and skills assessments for assigned clients using validated, evidence-based tools
Design individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs grounded in applied behavior analysis and BACB standards
Provide direct and indirect supervision to RBTs on the assigned caseload minimum 5% of each RBT's monthly direct service hours with at least one individual client observation per month
Review and analyze session data on a minimum bi-weekly basis; modify programs based on data using pre-established decision rules
Complete all clinical documentation treatment plans, reevaluations, supervision notes, and session notes for BCBA-delivered services in the Rethink EMR within required timelines
Ensure all documentation is accurate, objective, and consistent with services billed to SoonerCare or other payers
Facilitate caregiver training and family involvement in behavioral programming
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and school coordination as applicable
Obtain and maintain all required prior authorizations for assigned caseload, coordinate renewal timelines with the Authorization Coordinator
Comply with the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts (2020) at all times
Maintain BCBA certification through required continuing education (32 CEUs per 2-year cycle including ethics hours)
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or related field
Current, active BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB
Current, active Oklahoma OLBAB license
Completion of BACB 8-hour Supervision Training (STC 2.0) required prior to supervising RBTs or trainees
No active disciplinary sanctions on BACB certification or OLBAB license
Experience working with children and adolescents with autism, developmental disabilities, or related conditions
Proficiency with Rethink EMR or comparable ABA data collection and documentation systems preferred
Clearance of all required background checks and OIG/SAM.gov exclusion screens
