The UNMDepartment of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is eager to put togetherthe right package for an individual with a passion for child and adolescentpsychiatry and teaching, coupled with an interest in joining a team oftalented, caring and committed faculty members. Applications are being accepted for anacademic faculty psychiatrist, suitable for appointment at the rank ofAssistant Professor Clinician Educator for a position in our Child andAdolescent Psychiatry Division . Thesuccessful candidate can take full advantage of opportunities available in ourvibrant and active academic community.

As an attendingpsychiatrist in our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, the person(s)selected will have a voice in developing the divisions direction as well asopportunities for multicultural clinical care and scholarly and collaborativeresearch activities across the Health Sciences Center campus. There are many opportunities for professionaldevelopment in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoringand supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees inrelated disciplines.

Salary andacademic rank are commensurate with experience and academic background.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (or equivalent) degree;
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Clinical experience minimum 1 year;
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico;
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational, teaching and supervision experience with residents, fellows and medical students.
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
