We're hiring a Regional Intake Director - lead and optimize the patient intake function across our hospice and supportive care operations. This is a handson leadership role requiring flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate calmly and effectively in fastpaced, emotionally complex healthcare environments. You're comfortable making decisions independently, responding to urgent needs, and guiding teams through sensitive conversations What You'll Be Doing Lead and manage Admission Coordinators across Silverado Hospice and Supportive Care Oversee all aspects of the patient intake and admission process Build and maintain strong relationships with associates, referral sources, patients, and families Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and objections related to hospice, palliative, and supportive care services Overcome initial objections and educate patients and families on services offered Coordinate hospital discharges and general admission activities Manage insurance verification and authorization processes Ensure accurate and timely data entry, maintaining all admission tracking logs Schedule appropriate staff to meet with patients and families in a timely manner Ensure all intake and admission documentation is completed according to policy Partner with site leadership on performance management, coaching, and feedback for intake staff Complete Admission Coordinator orientation and ongoing training Participate in related operational and leadership meetings Support oncall coverage as required by operational needs Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or outside scheduled hours as business needs require Function independently in a healthcare environment that may involve emotionally distressed patients and families Remain calm, professional, and levelheaded in urgent or emergent situations Qualifications Previous experience in hospice, palliative and supportive care hospice strongly preferred High school diploma required, with some college coursework preferred Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or inside sales preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Empathetic, patientcentered communication style Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively Typing proficiency of at least 50 words per minute Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, forms, and record management Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards (driver's license not required unless specified) Why Choose Silverado?
