The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for administering psychological or neuropsychological assessments in one of our two Diagnostics Centers (Carol Stream, IL and Orland Park, IL). Additional responsibilities include case management services and providing referrals for recommended therapies. If interested, candidates can also carry a therapy caseload of individual and/or family therapy. With therapy clients, the Clinical Psychologist regularly monitors progress to ensure that their needs are met by the course of action, and to adjust it if necessary.

Essential Functions:

Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, tests, questionnaires, and records

Conduct thorough intake and feedback sessions with clients and their families

Assess for a range of referral concerns, including autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and conduct-related conditions

Write comprehensive reports based on test data and observations and provide feedback within a timely manner

Collaborate with other psychologists and providers regarding case conceptualization

Case management, when appropriate, including providing resources to schools, and communication with schools and/or medical professionals

Maintain 10 -12 evaluations per month

QualificationsRequired Education, Experience and Credentials:

Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited program

Internship training and post-doctoral training in psychological assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment with children

Current Illinois Registration/licensure in Clinical Psychology or license-eligible

Experience conducting pediatric psychological/neuropsychological evaluations

CPR Certification required within 90 days of hire

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Formal training and proficiency administering the ADOS-2, preferred

Preference working with young children (ages 2+)

Passion for working with children with developmental delays

Personal Attributes:

Development Mindset with a passion for continuous learning and education

Autonomy with the ability to work independently

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Able to provide training in, and implement, de-escalation skills for clients

Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs

Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during played-based therapy

Travel Requirements

Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings and supporting client coverage needs.
