About the Role
The Registered Nurse Team Lead provides direct medical and psychiatric nursing care while overseeing and supervising RN staff within the Expanded Community Services & Specialized Behavior Services (ECS/SBS) program. This role supports adults in community-based settings and ensures high-quality, recovery-oriented care through leadership, training, and clinical oversight. Location Tacoma, Spokane Valley WA area . Responsibilities
Supervise and oversee RN staff and nursing services
Facilitate individual and group supervision sessions
Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to nursing staff
Educate staff on policies, procedures, and psychiatric medication management
Collaborate with leadership to implement and monitor organizational policies
Approve staff timecards, leave requests, and employment status changes
Complete staff performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed
Provide coverage for RN staff during absences or service gaps
Conduct ongoing client assessments including physiological, psychological, and cognitive status
Follow prescriber-directed care plans and nursing diagnoses
Complete monthly medication reviews for assigned clients
Prioritize client care based on needs and available resources
Communicate effectively with clients and care teams
Provide in-service training on medical and psychiatric nursing topics
Assist clients with linkage to medical providers and follow up on prescriptions and authorizations
Administer medications, including injections, and document appropriately
Collaborate with treatment team members on care plans
Obtain medication consents when appropriate
Participate in staff meetings, case presentations, and clinical discussions
Consult regularly with prescribers regarding client care
Facilitate monthly RN meetings and address clinical concerns
Identify and report unusual client situations to medical leadership
Perform additional duties as assigned Recovery Requirements

Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes Required Qualifications
Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
Valid Washington State drivers license and active auto insurance
Minimum of three (3) years of psychiatric nursing experience
At least one (1) year of psychiatric nursing training with knowledge of psychotropic medications
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
Intermediate computer proficiency
Ability to work collaboratively and lead a multidisciplinary team Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with severely and chronically mentally ill populations
Experience in community clinics or residential treatment settings
