JOB DESCRIPTION: The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking an OPS Research Assistant to support ongoing clinical research initiatives. This position will work primarily with UF Health Orthopaedics Surgery and Sports Medicine in both clinic and hospital settings. The OPS Research Assistant will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and Clinical Research Coordinator to support all aspects of human subjects research, including participant recruitment, data collection, data management, and study protocol implementation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hospital-based research environment and interacting directly with human subjects. While prior orthopaedic knowledge is not required, it is strongly preferred. This a part-time OPS position is scheduled Monday-Friday, primarily during standard business hours, with some flexibility required based on study needs. Duties Include: Assist the Principal Investigator and Clinical Research Coordinator with study operations Recruit, screen, and enroll research participants in both clinic and hospital settings Conduct data collection and ensure accurate documentation according to study protocols Contact patients by phone to support completion of study questionnaires and forms Enter and manage study data using REDCap and other research databases Coordinate and interact with external registry data as required Maintain compliance with human subjects research standards and institutional protocols EXPECTED SALARY: $16/hour, commensurate with qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should have gave previous exposure to an orthopaedic clinical setting (or related clinical area) and be comfortable with human subject research in a hospital setting PREFERRED: SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS: In order to be considered, you must upload your cover letter and resume Application must be submitted by 11:55 p.m. (ET) of the posting end date.
