OVERVIEW:
The MobileResponse Team of Bert Nash is part of the Douglas County Crisis Continuum andworks in collaboration with service recipients and emergency systems toidentify and facilitate access to the right services or resources, at the righttime, in the least restrictive environment. The primary responsibility will be tosafely respond in partnership with MRT teammates to provide solution-focusedand recovery-oriented interventions at the point of a behavioral health crisisor concern in the community.
The MRT responds to high acuity community members or those with complexcircumstances for the purposes of assessment, de-escalation, safety planning,crisis stabilization, and resources brokering. Ability to effectively respond to potential andactual risks is essential. The goal of services provided is toallow individuals to remain in the community safely, whenever possible.

Responsibilitiesand Duties:
The primary responsibilityof The Mobile Crisis Response Team Case Manager is to provide proactive or follow up outreach with the goals of preventing behavioralhealth crisis and criminal justice recidivism, and to promote an individual'sability to make informed decisions and retain their autonomy. A good portion of service provision willinvolve short term transitional crisis support services and crisiscase management service. Service isoffered through collaborative multidisciplinary, strengths-based, andrecovery-oriented approaches. Short term transitional crisis support servicesand crisis case management services are applied as appropriate.
- Collaborate with MRT teammates (clinicians, case managers,peer support specialists, leadership) in providing a friendly and professionalresponse to persons experiencing emergent or urgent psychiatric or personalissues and responding to them in-person/on-site (in their homes, workplaces, schools, and othercommunity locations) as safely appropriate and necessary throughoutDouglas County.
- Respond to DouglasCounty community members in crisis.
- To facilitate or maintain communications with local lawenforcement/EMS/hospital emergency department/community partners as appropriateand necessary to coordinate care and ensure a safe environment for staffproviding behavioral health support and assessment to service recipients.
- Coordinationregarding care and treatment options that involve consultations and follow-upwith Mobile Response team members (including leadership), Douglas County CrisisContinuum, and Emergency Services team members as necessary.
- Providing and coordinating necessary referrals and delivery ofservices among community agencies, hospitals, and within the organization toensure that service recipients have access to necessary levels of care orresources.
- Maintains accurate andcomplete records of all client services as defined by funding agencies, MobileResponse Team, and Mental Health Center standards and requirements.
- Completes and submitsdocumentation, shift status reports, timesheets, and all work-related paperworkin the timely manner and acceptable format as determined by state, agency, andteam requirements.
- Ability to respond to communityrequests for critical incident debriefings, education, and trainingopportunities as needed.
- Receptivity, acceptance, and integration offeedback/coaching to promote personal growth, professional development, andperformance enhancement.
- This position requires the ability to interpret writtenmaterials and effectively present and respond to questions.
Qualifications: The Mobile Crisis Response Team Case Manager position requires:
- BA/BSDegree or four years of equivalent education and/or experience working in behavioralhealth crisis related services;
- Reliabletransportation; and a valid, unrestricted driver's license and proof of currentcar insurance with ability to drive both during daylight and night hours;
- Experienceproviding community resources and crisis services with an understanding ofbehavioral health concepts and presentation is strongly preferred;
- Abilityto complete trainings for evidence-based practices in Community BehavioralHealth Care and specific to crisis intervention;
- Acommitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches;
- Priorcomputer experience and basic computer fluency;
- Mustbe able to achieve within one's first 3 months of employment a workingcompetency in the management and use of the Center's electronic medical record(EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of theclinical record;
- Anability to work independently in cooperation with others;
