Psych Nurse (RN) in Goffstown, NH

We are seeking skilled Registered Nurses with psychiatric experience for 13-week contract opportunities on the 2nd shift (2:45pm11:15pm, five 8-hour shifts per week). This role focuses on delivering patient-centered care to individuals experiencing acute psychiatric conditions while collaborating closely with a dedicated healthcare team.

Schedule:

• 2nd shift: 2:45pm 11:15pm
• Five 8-hour shifts per week (no 12-hour shifts)
• 13-week contract assignment

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license, eligible to practice in New Hampshire (NH)
• Copy of RN license required at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by AHA or ARC
• Minimum of two years recent in-patient psychiatric nursing experience
• Effective communication and de-escalation skills
• Commitment to evidence-based mental health nursing practices

Responsibilities:

• Assess psychiatric patients, monitor mental status, document care, and assist with crisis intervention
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education related to mental health treatments
• Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to all regulatory standards
