A technology company is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to support our ongoing human subject studies. Skills and Requirements
Required Characteristics:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and self-management skills
Bachelors degree in psychology (e.g., neuroscience), cognitive science (e.g., artificial intelligence), computer science (e.g., human-computer interaction), engineering (e.g., human factors), or a closely related research discipline
Ability to wear a precision wearable datacollection device on the hand and forearm for extended periods, while maintaining sustained manual dexterity and fine motor control
Ability to meet the following hand size requirements:
Minimum hand breadth of 95 mm (measured across the knuckles with fingers extended)
Minimum hand length of 195 mm (measured from the wrist crease to the tip of the middle finger) Desired Characteristics:
Experience with data analysis and/or the design of research protocols
Hands-on experience collecting user interaction data and working with related technical equipment, such as inertial measurement units (IMUs), optical sensing systems, or electromyography (EMG)
At least one year of experience working in a research environment involving human subjects
