Description

Summary This position provides drug and alcohol treatment and case-management services to individuals at Camden County Correctional Facility presenting an addiction and/or co-occurring disorder. Individuals will work with male adults. Completes a minimum of 14 groups (maximum 10 participants) and 35 individual counseling sessions will be offered each week, providing services to 140 unique individuals each month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provides individual and group counseling services to assigned individuals daily to evaluate their health and substance problems.

Utilizes Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) evidence-based self-help program for substance abuse.

Ensures documentation and maintenance of information are compliant with HIPPA standards.

Develops and maintains complete clinical records including biopsychosocial, assessments, treatment plans, annual evaluations, progress notes, case conferences, and other clinical and administrative documents in a timely manner.

Creates treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical and administrative documents in accordance with agency, managed care, accreditation, licensing, and State and local requirements and standards. Regularly checks to ensure that content, signatures, credentials, dates, times, service types and legibility meet standards.

Provides crisis management in consultation with supervisor and partners with Certified Peer Recovery Specialist as a follow up of clinical assessments.

Attends bi-weekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision. Comes prepared with an agenda to discuss items such as successes, concerns, ideas or follow-up items.

Attends and completes training and seminars per departmental, agency, managed care and regulatory requirements. Requirements for specific training courses and/or hours of training must be met within designated time frames. Submits verification of course completion to supervisor in a timely manner.

Education and/or Experience

Master's degree preferred in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Counseling Psychology, from an accredited college or university. Two years' paid experience and/or training.
