Batlin Recovery is seeking a dedicated and licensed therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Missouri. The ideal candidate will have experience providing therapy to individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns in a residential substance use disorder treatment program, as well as a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

This is a full-time role that will require availability during normal business hours and occasional evenings as needed.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, substance use, and treatment needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Provide evidence-based therapy services, including individual, group, and family therapy using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed care.

Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops on topics related to substance abuse, mental health, relapse prevention, and coping skills.

Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure integrated treatment planning.

Conduct crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed, providing appropriate referrals and resources for clients in crisis or experiencing acute symptoms.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with Missouri DMH requirements and facility policies.

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision sessions, contributing to case discussions, treatment planning, and program development initiatives.

Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of substance abuse and mental health treatment, participating in continuing education and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.

Must hold a valid Missouri license or be eligible for licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist), or a credential through the Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC/CRADC/CRAADC).

Provisional license holders (e.g., PLPC, LMSW, provisionally credentialed addiction counselors) may be considered with appropriate supervision.

Prior experience in substance use disorder treatment, mental health counseling, or residential treatment preferred.

Experience working with trauma, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, and MI is highly desirable.

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Knowledge of Missouri regulations regarding SUD treatment and ASAM criteria.

Ability to engage and motivate clients in a structured residential setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in electronic health records and documentation standards.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position primarily operates in a clinical office environment.

Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, trainings, or conferences.

Flexible schedule may be necessary to accommodate evening or weekend sessions.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced, client-centered setting.

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to stand and be on their feet for long portions of time.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
