The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist is responsible for delivering psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to program clients within a team-based, trauma-informed care model. This role includes clinical oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality behavioral health services. Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and assessments
Prescribe medication and monitor side effects
Supervise and provide clinical oversight to NPs, RNs, and support staff
Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team processes
Maintain clinical documentation and reporting standards
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and ethical guidelines
Consult with external medical professionals as needed
May provide direct therapy or emergency psychiatric consultation
Collaborate with nursing staff and other clinicians to integrate care Required Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
Licensed to practice medicine independently in California
Completion of psychiatry residency and 2-year child & adolescent fellowship
Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills
Proficiency with electronic health records All Employees:
