Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral intervention services to students receiving Tier 1 supports under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position implements individualized behavior intervention plans and supports students in achieving their educational and behavioral goals within the school setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement behavior intervention plans and teaching procedures as designed by supervising BCBA

Collect accurate behavioral and academic data on student progress and program effectiveness

Provide direct one-on-one and small group instruction using evidence-based behavioral strategies

Assist students with daily living skills, social interactions, and academic tasks

Maintain detailed documentation of student behaviors, interventions, and outcomes

Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success

Follow all safety protocols and crisis intervention procedures as trained

Participate in regular supervision meetings and professional development activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent

Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) by December 31, 2026

Completion of 40-hour RBT training program

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to implement behavioral interventions with fidelity

Physical ability to assist students with mobility and daily living activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's degree in education, psychology, or related field

Previous experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities

Experience in educational or therapeutic settings

Bilingual abilities

Training in crisis intervention techniques
