School Clinician CYFS Offices - ChOICE Academy - Barre, VT 05641 Apply Overview Salary Range $29.26 - $30.45 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Any Education Level Graduate Degree Category Clinician Apply Description Provide therapeutic and case management services to youth with severe emotional and behavioral challenges at our integrated treatment facility, in their homes, and throughout the community. Deliver individual, family, and group therapy, facilitate skill-building sessions, and coordinate services through personalized treatment plans. Manage a caseload of up to 10 youth, collaborate with schools, families, and agencies, and support your team with consultation and training. Strong communication, teamwork, and crisis intervention skills are key. This role offers a unique chance to create meaningful change in the lives of youth while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment. Job Duties: Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to youth with severe emotional and behavioral challenges. Deliver skill-building sessions and support development through evidence-based interventions. Manage a caseload of up to 10 youth in the day treatment program. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each youth. Coordinate services and collaborate with schools, families, and external agencies. Participate in monthly team meetings and treatment planning discussions. Provide consultation and training to school and Academy staff. Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner. Utilize de-escalation and physical intervention techniques as needed (training provided). Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support. Qualifications Education/Licensure Requirements: Master's degree in human service field required. Clinical or license track as a psychologist, social worker, or clinical mental health counselor preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, possess an excellent driving record, and have access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle. Skills and Experience: Ability to work within a team with effective interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and colleagues within WCMHS and external partners. Willing and able to satisfactorily complete specialized physical and verbal de-escalation training is required. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Willing to learn crisis de-escalation and passive restraint techniques. Must possess the capability to complete Handle With Care training to the satisfaction of a Handle With Care instructor. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Expectation is for clinical documentation to be completed in a timely and organized manner.
