Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Autism Specialist - Horizons - FT

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Completes functional behavior assessments, preference assessments, treatment planning for behaviors.
  • Uses appropriate assessments to determine behaviors needing to be addressed.
  • Develops and monitors program delivery for client and family to implement.
  • Performs utilization review as requested.
  • Works with parents/guardians on parent training programs.
  • Work with a variety of individuals with a variety of diagnoses, within competency.
  • Coordinates care with Intensive Individual Support/Registered Behavior Technician staff to implement programs.
  • Tracks data using appropriate data tools.
  • Completed required authorization requests to insurance companies on behalf of the client to receive services.
  • Completed all service documentation timely and meets quality standards.
  • Provides the numbers of services to clients/families as required.
  • Refers for appropriate services to meet the medical necessity of clients.
  • Participates in department meetings and meetings with supervisor.
  • Supports and meets with other department staff as needed to serve clients.
  • Completes required trainings needed for agency.
  • Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
  • Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
