What you'll do at DBH:
- Assess and evaluate nursing/medical needs of patients
- Initiate and direct implementation of the nursing care plan
- Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior and condition
- Administer medications and treatment as ordered by the physician
- Assist with physical examinations
- Respond to emergency situations
- Directs delivery of and evaluate psychiatric/nursing care of patients delivered by professional and nonprofessional staff
- Prepare, review, implement and update records/reports/plans
- Serve as an interdisciplinary treatment team member
This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 13 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. This position is located at 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio. Shifts are to be determined.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Additional Salary / Appointment Information:
- Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked from 3:00 pm -7:00 am
- Additional $3.50 per hour retention supplement for hours worked from 3:00 - 7:00 am
- Additional $3.15 per hour retention supplement for 72-hour float position.
- Additional hourly retention supplements available for education and certifications
- July 1, 2026, 3% percent pay increase
- Longevity supplement at 5 years of service
- Service supplement 2% at 12-24 months; 4% at 25-48 months; and 5% at 49 plus months
Position Qualifications:
Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code.
