Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Florence, AL 35630Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Master's Degree in Social WorkTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday)Job Category: Nonprofit - Social ServicesJob Description: The Non-Licensed Therapist in our Geriatric department plays a very important role in assessing and delivering the proper treatment in a Nursing Home setting for elderly aged clients and their families. This position works closely with other staff to ensure that the client's treatment is being executed efficiently. Responsibilities include assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care. This position is located in Florence, AL and is a Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM.

What you'll be doing:

Conduct individual, group and/or family therapy.

Perform initial assessments, intakes and prepare documentation of such for client charts.

Input data into profiler electronic medical records.

Prepare with client a treatment plan to include goals.

Plan, manage, and direct the caseload, as well as the treatment of each client.

Complete assessment of referrals within three working days.

Document progress of client to goals as outlined in the Treatment plan.

Present cases to psychiatrists regarding client’s medicine.

Work closely with Case Managers regarding client’s needs.

Provide Crisis Intervention as needed.

Participate in various meetings to include departmental, divisional or other meetings as required by the Coordinator.

Complete billing documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Conduct follow-up with clients.

Ensure all services are provided as indicated on treatment plan.

Provide Mental Health Consultation for nursing home staff.

Complete other duties as assigned.

QualificationsWhat we're looking for:

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field

Good organizational & documentation skills

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and/or referral sources, both verbally and written

Proficient writing skills

Effective organizational and time management skills

Intermediate computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office
