Job Overview Inpatient Psychiatric RN (Adult Behavioral Health)
Sinai Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health experience to join our adult short-stay psychiatric stabilization unit in Baltimore, MD.
As an Inpatient Psychiatric RN , you will provide safe, therapeutic, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients (18+) experiencing acute mental health crises. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in collaborative environments, prioritize patient safety, and are passionate about behavioral health, crisis intervention, and psychiatric stabilization.
*This position is eligible for a $10,000 Sign On Bonus.*
Key Responsibilities Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
- Deliver comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in an acute inpatient setting
- Conduct mental health and suicide risk assessments
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications
- Implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatry and interdisciplinary teams
- Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
- Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for patients and families

Minimum Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience (inpatient psych or behavioral health preferred)
- Active Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health settings
- Crisis prevention and de-escalation training
- Experience with adult mental health populations
