PAY RANGE
- $26.66 - $33.81 per hour

SUMMARY
- Provides admission intakes, individual and group therapies, and participates in planning, implementing and evaluating the Patient Therapy program. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver psychiatric services and supports case management and treatment planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Gather and evaluate patient information from interviews and records to develop comprehensive assessment and initial treatment plans.
- Identify deviations from expected findings and inform charge nurse as appropriate.
- Provide individual and group therapies consistent with Mental Health Unit standards.
- Plan and provide patient and family education; involve family/significant others when appropriate.
- Coordinate care with PCPs, outpatient providers, and multidisciplinary team; participate in treatment planning meetings.
- Support comprehensive case management, obtain insurance approvals/referrals, and document interventions and patient responses per policy.
- Supervise and support students/interns as assigned and participate in staff development and professional growth activities.
- Prioritize and reprioritize work based on patient needs and unit demands; respond to assigned case management throughout Heywood Hospital.
- Assist with clinical disposition, treatment planning, and discharge coordination.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Exerts 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to negligible force constantly to move objects.
- Frequently reaches, handles, and feels; may require rapid physical movements and lifting/holding extremities during behavioral emergencies.

BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION
- BA or BS in Psychology, Human Services, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in the human services field; demonstrated effective interactions with diverse patients/caregivers.

MINIMUM LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- AHA BLS required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
