Salary: $69,626/yr (Provisional License) | $80,022/yr (Licensed), PLUS a full benefit package!

This position would feature clinical work with clients experiencing their first episode of psychosis (FEP). Specialized training on how to help clients going through thier first episode of psychosis will be made available.

This position is eligible for the National Health Services Corp Loan Repayment Program and a full benefit package including paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, a URS retirement (pension plan), up to a 3% employer match into a 401k or 457b retirement account, high deductible medical plan with a generous employer contribution, 100% employer funded dental premium, etc.

Job Information

We are looking for a master's level mental health therapist toprovide individual and group psychotherapy for individuals and families in anoffice setting, fully supported by agency receptionists and staff. You will beworking with an experienced, multi-disciplinary team in assisting adultclients regain stability in the face of a serious mental illness such as PTSD,schizophrenia and/or bi-polar I disorder. You will have the opportunity toassist your clients by:

• Coordinating with a team of full-time adult casemanagers who help clients obtain the physical resources and daily livingskills they need to thrive and more fully benefit from therapy,

• Referring to our in-house medical team comprised offull-time psychiatrists, APRNs and RNs for medication management, as needed,

• Introducing interested clients toour Clubhouse program for skills development, socialization andrecreational activities, and

• Linking clients interested in gainful work toour employment specialists who have developed a network ofrelationships with local employers.

•Complete a DSM-V guided clinical assessment

• Develop a client-centered treatment plan

• Enter documentation in the client's electronic health recordin a timely manner

• Provide ongoing therapy, suicide risk assessment and intervention

• Review outcome measures to help track client progress andidentify barriers to progress

• Provide approximately 25 clinical services per week

• Collaborate with team members

Job Requirements

• Graduation from a college or university with a Master's Degreein Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, or Professional Counseling.

• Current Licensure as a LCSW, MFT, CMHC, in the State of UtahOR current License as a CSW, MFT Associate, CMHC Associate and ability toobtain full license within 2 years

• Ability to pass a Background Check.

• Valid driver's license (equivalent to Utah Class D).

What you can expect

Experience: At Southwest, you will be joining ateam dedicated mental health clinicians with years of clinical experience. Youwill also have the opportunity to develop and hone your clinical skills workingwith a variety of clinical conditions.

Clinical Support: We supportevidenced-based programming in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and EMDR byproviding regular supervision groups for clinicians interested in developingand maintaining skills in those modalities. Your colleagues will also beavailable during team meetings and between appointments for consultation andsupport. For clinicians working toward full-license, weekly clinicalsupervision will be provided at no-cost.

Competitive Salary: Therapist salary rangesstart from $66,310.00 to $76,211 based on clinical license. There is also theopportunity to earn quarterly bonuses based on the number of clinical hoursprovided. Some clinicians make an additional $1000 / month on average.

No after-hours crisis work : Our therapists donot carry an on-call phone or respond to crises outside the regular workday.

Since 1986, Southwest Behavioral Health Center has been a leaderin assisting individuals and families in the five-county area who struggle withserious mental illness and/or substance use disorders. We specialize in workingwith clients who have few resources and those with Utah Medicaid. We strive tobe the best of the best at helping the most severely mental ill personsestablish stability and dignity in their lives. We accomplish this by providinga full array of in-house services, including:

• Temporary housing in agency-owned and managed unitsin St. George and Cedar City for clients.

• 24-hour mobile crisis outreach for individuals andfamilies experiencing a mental health driven emergency through our MobileCrisis Outreach team (MCOT) and Stabilization Mobile Response team (SMR).

• Transitional housing and programming at our Mountain ViewHouse facility for persons moving from an acute or long-term psychiatricunit.

• Mental Health Court services for clients whosemental illness has been a factor leading to criminal charges.

• Residential substance abuse treatment programs atour Desert Haven and Horizon House facilities in St. George and Cedar City.

• Outpatient children and youth programming, including daytreatment services for those with a severe mental illness.

• Prevention services aimed at keeping youth fromusing substances or engaging in at-risk behaviors.

And, as noted above:

• Intensive case management services that can includeassistance with obtaining disability benefits, acting as the client'srepresentative payee, assisting with medication administration, teaching lifeskills and so forth.

• Clubhouse programs in St. George and Cedar City.
