1 Part-Time, Registered Behavior Technician

(1) Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) : part-time, 10 months, 6 hours/day, starting the beginning of the 2026/2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services with students with autism spectrum disorder and/or other neuropsychiatric/developmental disorders, under the direction of the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) assigned to the classroom. The RBT will apply techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student, consistent with the goals contained in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP). The RBT will also closely observe student behaviors, reliably collect data, and graph data to regularly evaluate the effectiveness of a student’s current programming. The applicant must have strong technology skills, have the ability to work calmly with student(s) exhibiting behavioral and academic challenges and have the ability to follow the direction of as needed.

Requirements the candidate must have:

  • PDE Highly Qualified Para Educator Certificate. which includes one of the following:
    • An Associates degree or higher
    • 2+ years of postsecondary study (48+ credits)
    • OR a passing score on state approved assessment

  • Active certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required - ongoing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervision will be provided.

Hourly rate is $25.40/hr, after a successful probationary period, as per the PESPA contract, no health benefits with this position.
