Job Title: Assessment Counselor Location: Catasauqua Facility Address: 124 Bridge Street, Catasauqua, PA Pay Range: $45k - $47k Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, 2nd shift Job Posting: Assessment Counselor Job Summary: The Assessment Counselor is responsible for facilitating all assessment services for the program, in line with facility standards and the clinical philosophy of the program. This role involves conducting screenings and assessments, ensuring appropriate client placement, and coordinating with other clinical team members to support effective care delivery. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct screenings and level of care assessments, using clinical knowledge and skills, and communicate the process with clients. Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the level of care assessment (LOCA). Complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable. Facilitate the admission process, collaborating with appropriate clinical team members. Complete all assessment, admission, and related paperwork in a timely manner, including Releases of Information (ROIs) and other admission documents. Collaborate with other team members and departments as required. Develop initial treatment plans for clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with a Master's level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling ), or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC).
