POSITION PROFILE:
Are you passionate about the mental wellness of children and their families? Do understand the impact school-related issues can have on a student's mental health? If your heart is to counsel youth towards improving their mental health, the Clinician I may be a perfect fit for your skill set! The Clinician I is part of our PrimeTime program offerings. The position provides onsite counseling, education, and preventative services to children, youth, and families in partnership with San Diego Unified School District. Direct services may include mental health assessments and evaluation, individual/group therapy, and intensive case management to those who may not otherwise have access to such services.
Position is eligible for hybrid work after onboarding.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide psycho-social assessment and services on site to PrimeTime students in grades TK-8th.
Strong skills in individual, family and group therapy needed.
Maintain accurate updated case files and compile statistical data monthly
Develop curricula and resources for social-emotional educational groups for PrimeTime students.
Consult regularly with PrimeTime Leadership Team
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications):
Master's Degree in Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy
Registered Intern with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
License eligible; LCSW/MFT/LPCC licensing supervision provided
Experience in providing casework/case management services
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and experience working with diverse populations
Strong clinical skills in family therapy, group, and multi-family group therapy, and parent education
Access to reliable transportation and willing to use it for job-related tasks supporting up to 32 program sites.
Have and maintain positive and supportive relationships with coworkers
Maintain accurate knowledge about the agency, its programs and service
Accurately represent the agency to and maintain positive working relationships with the general public, clients, funding sources, government bodies, etc.
Communicate positive and negative feedback from the community through your supervisor to management
Utilize appropriate opportunities to pursue positive public relations for the agency
