Program Specialist - BCBA

Position: Teacher ~ Program Specialist, BCBA

Employment Status: Regular/Full Time ~ 205 days per year

Reports to: Building Principal/Director of Special Education

Description:

To support students with behavioral needs across the district. The BCBA will collaborate with school teams to develop and implement evidence-based behavioral interventions that support student success.

Qualifications:

• Valid BCBA certification
• Master's degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field preferred
• Valid or eligible for appropriate Ohio licensure
• Knowledge of IDEA and Ohio Operating Standards
• Experience in school settings preferred

Essential Functions:

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and support ETR processes
• Develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Collaborate with staff and provide consultation on behavior supports
• Provide staff training and support implementation of interventions
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
• Support Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) as needed
• Attend expulsion hearings and disciplinary meetings, as needed

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve professional competence by attending professional seminars, workshops, in-services, etc. to keep current on relevant issues
• Support school, enforce school rules and policies and work collaboratively with team members
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or designee
