Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure for the state
- Previous experience providing psychological services in a school setting is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of student assessment tools, intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal evaluations and psychological assessments to support special education eligibility and individualized education program (IEP) development
- Deliver counseling and intervention services to students to support their academic, social, and emotional development
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide expertise on behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the creation and monitoring of behavioral and academic interventions
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Offer professional development to staff in areas related to mental health and student well-being
