Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Active state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting is highly beneficial
• Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Understanding of current special education laws and procedures

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students referred for special services
• Interpret assessment results and present clear findings to staff and families
• Provide individual and group counseling or interventions aimed at fostering student emotional and academic growth
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support progress monitoring
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective classroom strategies and behavioral interventions
• Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide recommendations for positive behavioral supports
• Maintain detailed, confidential documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
• Stay current on best practices and areas of professional growth relevant to school psychology
