Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's degree in either behavior-analysis, psychology, or education.

  2. Must have completed a Verified Course Sequence (VCS) that meets the current BCBA classroom hours and content requirements.

  3. Have completed Supervised Fieldwork.

  4. Passed the BCBA Exam.

  5. Have an active Alabama State issued license to practice.

  6. Cleared background check through FBI and ABI processes.

REPORTS TO: Special Education Coordinator

JOB GOAL: To provide sound behavioral programs and services for students with special needs in their least restrictive environment.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and other behavioral evaluations.

  2. Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs).

  3. Analyze data and adjust programs based on student progress.

  4. Provide direct and indirect behavioral services to teachers, staff, students, and parents.

  5. Supervise and train teachers and other support staff in implementing the behavior goals.

  6. Maintain accurate documentation and behavior data / records.

  7. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, physicians, and other professionals.

  8. Ensure services comply with ethical standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and applicable regulations.

  9. Complete other duties as requested.

  • In the event of unusual school circumstances (destruction due to weather, pandemic, other critical situations) other duties may be assigned in order to assist the continuation of educational and other school related functions as necessary.
