Private Practice Mental Health Therapist - Child/Adult (Hybrid)

Welcome to NxtStep. Where Different is Dope. NxtStep Counseling is seeking provisionally/fully licensed mental health therapists to join the crew. In this role, you will help clients learn and implement effective ways of coping by providing individual, couples, and/or family therapy. This role requires someone who is comfortable working with underserved and marginalized communities, is welcoming, vibrant, culturally competent, and has a passion for assisting those in need to become the best versions of themselves. Therapist Duties and Responsibilities Conduct regular online/in-person appointments with clients in need of therapeutic intervention Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients Implement various treatments and protocols, appropriately addressing client needs Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client situation Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate insurance Therapist Requirements and Qualifications Minimum of a Master&s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field Provisionally or fully licensed in the state of NC 1-2 years of clinical experience, ideally working directly with clients Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen Solid relationship-building capabilities A positive and compassionate attitude Keen attention to detail Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field Passion for advancing the therapy field Ability to work independently or as part of a team What You Can Expect Hybrid/remote options Clinical Supervision CEU stipend Flexible work schedule Competitive compensation Professional development Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 - 32 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Schedule: Choose your own hours Evenings as needed Education: Master&s (Required) Experience: clinical therapy (direct care): 1 year (Required) License/Certification: LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA (Required) Ability to Commute: Raleigh, NC 27615 (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Raleigh, NC 27615
