The Mental Health Therapist/QMHP provides mental health assessments, mental status exams, and person-centered strength assessment to determine medical necessity and
diagnosis, working within the recovery and person-centered strengths model supporting the implementation of the service plan. Provides individual, family and group therapy,
psychoeducation, strengths-based case management, and skills training services.

Shangri La OPMH is a qualified facility for student loan repayment through Oregon Health Authority’s Behavioral Workforce Initiative, Scholars for a Healthy Oregon Initiative, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness

Eligible for $10,000 Retention Stipend This position qualifies for a $10,000 stipend through a national workforce initiative. The stipend begins to disburse after 3 months of employment. Disbursement schedule is determined by the National Council and is currently being finalize. *Applicants will need to complete a separate application through the National Council. Participation in the program will be subject to a separate review process, distinct from the hiring process at Shangri-La*

Salary:

Starting Salary: $5,967.86/month

Salary Range: $5,967.86/month – $7553.86/month (depending on qualifications)

Status: Exempt - Full Time Salaried 40 Hours
Shift information: Monday-Friday
Location: Salem
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor and Behavioral Health Director

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in a mental health field from an accredited college or university and be
license eligible in the State of Oregon as a professional counselor, a psychologist, a marriage
and family therapist, or a clinical social worker.
1-2 years of experience is preferred.
Knowledge in psychological theory, principles and practices of mental health treatment
including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of mental health conditions;
human behavior as it relates to crisis situations and challenges of client population.
