Psychologist Jobs in Georgia
Study and interpret cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes. Psychologists investigate how people interact with the world around them. Many of these mental health professionals work to help struggling individuals function in their environments. This may entail a range of tasks such as discussing therapy options with patients and other individuals—like family members or treatment teams—as appropriate, or designing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for school students.
Psychologists typically specialize in a particular area. Specialties include industrial-organizational (addressing issues in the workplace), counseling (helping clients handle distress and its causes), clinical (diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders), and research (performing controlled studies to identify behavioral/emotional patterns).
