Valley Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, skilled Psychiatrist to join our multi-disciplinary behavioral health team which consists of 3 Psychiatrists, 8 PMHNPS, 26 Therapy Providers and hosts a yearly cohort of interns who train in our APA-accredited PsyD internship program. The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for patients of all ages in an outpatient community health setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for patients of all ages
  • Manage medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including primary care providers and therapists, to deliver integrated, whole-person care
  • Educate patients and families on mental health, treatment options, and wellness strategies
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active West Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills
  • Commitment to community-based care and serving underserved populations
