Elementary High School School Psychologist in Minneapolis, MN

Qualifications:

• Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience in elementary and/or high school environments
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and practices
• Excellent communication, consultation, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret and present data, develop IEP/504 plans, and work collaboratively with educators and families
• Understanding of diverse student populations and culturally responsive practices

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and report findings
• Provide individual and group counseling to support academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff on interventions and best practices
• Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RTI), and special education eligibility meetings
• Liaise with families to communicate progress and develop strategies for student growth
• Contribute expertise on crisis intervention, prevention programming, and school safety initiatives
